this is a small project to learn more about the communication between an irc client and a server written in c3.
Project setup
make sure that the nix package manager is installed. the shell.nix includes all required dependencies to get started.
nix-shell
ergo.chat
https://ergo.chat is a modern irc server which makes it very convenient to test the client against. it includes many ircv3 capabilities and some unofficial features.
run
run this command inside the nix-shell to start the ergo server. the database gets initialized automatically on the first run.
